Not A Thought In My Head is available on August 17th via Grey Records.

MechaDroid is the collaborative musical output of Leo Keiser (they/them, bass, vocals) and Colin Tether (he/him, drums). Recorded at the Artesian and mixed by Paula Bogdan (Forced Femme, Oiseaux, The Steves) with additional recording by Keiser, the songs on Not A Thought In My Head are bass riff-laden, beat-driven explorations of disconnection, anxiety and hopelessness.

Musically, Not A Thought In My Head features Keiser’s fuzzed-out, razor-edged bass in precise communion with Tether’s heavy, elemental drumming. Slapback vocals hover like a beacon in a dark sky, beaming lyrics that invoke images of wild dogs, faceless moons, dried river beds, ash and bone. Decidedly less pop-forward than MechaDroid’s previous efforts, these songs are no less easy to dance to, though relentless in their pursuit of catharsis during difficult times. Like an unbalanced pyramid, the songs are hard-edged monuments teetering on the brink of collapse.

Featuring artwork by Edie S, the five song EP will be released digitally, on tape, and will be available on all major streaming services.
